## What is Topps Chrome UCL?

It's Topps' chromium set for European club football, released every year since 2017/18. Up to 2021-22 it was called Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League; from 2022-23 it became Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions, covering the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League together. Topps' checklists flag first-year players as rookies, and the pattern in this set is consistent: a rookie card in the first year, a Future Stars card the next, then the regular base set. The player matters more than the print run. A Yamal Blue /150 sold for US$69 while a Haaland Aqua /199 went for US$17 and an Mbappé Green /99 for US$11.50. At the low end, a Yamal Orange /25 made US$510, an Estêvão Orange /25 rookie US$145.50 and a Jobe Bellingham Red /5 rookie US$232.50. Base rookie cards of this year's headline names sold for no more than a star's base card: what a rookie is worth in five years depends on the career, not the card.

## How do I tell which year a Topps Chrome UCL card is from?
