Toby Greene's Last GWS Giants Cards: Collector's Guide
Toby Greene's 2026 Select Footy Stars and 2026 AFL Teamcoach releases are his last in GWS orange: he signed with Geelong as an unrestricted free agent on 2 October 2026, ending 282 games at the club, a GWS all-time record. The 2027 sets will show him in blue, so here's every confirmed card to chase before that happens.
Which 2026 Footy Stars cards are Greene's last in orange?
Five confirmed cards in the 270-card 2026 Select AFL Footy Stars set, giving collectors the widest range of entry points.
- #97: Base (GWS Giants)
- FH46: Footy Heads insert
- LB76: Luminous insert
- MG45: Milestone Games insert (marks his 282-game GWS record)
- MYR39: Mercury insert (dual card featuring Greene AND Jesse Hogan, not a solo card; a Tie-Dye parallel variant also exists)
Which 2026 Teamcoach cards should you chase?
Three confirmed Teamcoach entries round out his final GWS release. The headline piece is the Most All-Australian Gold card, listed at AU$79.95 (asking price, not a sold comp) at Jaja's Collectables with very low stock. The specific card code is unconfirmed, with no source having verified an AA-XX number, so shop by card description for now.
- #152: Base (GWS Giants)
- SP-44: Star Powers Team insert
- Most All-Australian Gold card (code unconfirmed)
Why do his final GWS cards carry weight?
Greene was Pick 11 in the 2011 AFL National Draft, debuted in GWS's inaugural AFL season (Round 1, 2012, vs Sydney), and leaves as the club's all-time games leader at 282. He was a three-time All-Australian (2016, 2021, 2023) and the All-Australian Captain in 2023. He also won the Kevin Sheedy Medal, GWS's Best and Fairest award named after the club's founding coach, in 2016 and 2023, and captained the club for five seasons.
One reality that shapes how collectors read this run: Greene never won an AFL premiership. GWS did not claim the flag across his 15 seasons. These cards close a decorated career with one conspicuous gap.
What historical Greene cards anchor a full collection?
Greene has a base card in every Select AFL set since his 2012 debut. Two recent inserts worth adding: the 2024 Select AFL Footy Stars SK39 Stat Kings and the 2025 AFL Teamcoach ARF-09 AR Footy Flix.
