What made this premiership worth commemorating?
The Roosters were down 10-0 after 30 minutes and trailing 12-6 at half-time against Newcastle. Daly Cherry-Evans settled it in the 70th minute with a field goal from around 20 metres, his 32nd career field goal and his last act in the NRL before heading to Hull FC in the English Super League for 2027. He joined Sydney as an off-season recruit from Manly; this was his second premiership ring, the first coming with Manly in 2011.
James Tedesco took the Clive Churchill Medal with 385 run metres, an NRL finals record, and 14 tackle breaks. The Knights pulled it to 19-18 via a Greg Marzhew try in the 76th minute but could not score again. Final: Roosters 19 def. Knights 18, 4 October 2026, Accor Stadium. The club's 16th premiership and first since 2019.
Is there a companion NRLW set?
Yes. The Roosters NRLW side went 13-0 through the season and beat Brisbane 30-6 in the Grand Final, seven tries to one. That avenged the 2025 NRLW Grand Final, where the Roosters lost to Brisbane by four points.
The NRLW set is 24 cards at AU$49.95, limited to just 2,000 sets, shipping early December 2026. It was also the final game for Millie Elliott and Corban Baxter. The 2026 title is the Roosters' third NRLW premiership, following 2021 and 2024.
How does this set compare to previous premiers sets?
The 2025 NRL Premiers set for the Brisbane Broncos launched with 6,000 sets at AU$49 and now has fewer than 200 left after one year. The 2025 NRLW set started at 2,000 and has fewer than 100 remaining.
The 2026 Roosters NRL set has a smaller print run of 5,000. If you pick one up and later want to move it on, you can trade privately with people you actually know in CardLoft.
