Are Match Attax Cards Worth Anything? What Sells, and for How Much

Most Match Attax cards are worth a pound or two at most: single cards from every era we checked, 2007/08 to 2026/27, sold for under US$3 in October 2026. The money is in a short list: the rarest 2026/27 chase cards (Mystical and Enigma), genuine Topps autographs, early cards of players who became superstars, complete early sets, and the premium Topps Chrome Match Attax one-of-ones that reach five figures. Here's how to tell which of yours are which, with real sold prices, and how to check any card from a photo.

Are Match Attax cards worth anything?

Usually not much, and that's the honest answer. Match Attax is sold in £2 packets, Topps calls it the world's best-selling sports trading card game, and the ordinary cards exist in enormous numbers. In October 2026 a 2011/12 Golden Moment Ryan Giggs sold for US$1.62, a 2015/16 Man of the Match David Silva for US$2.13, a 2007/08 Bobby Convey from the first Premier League set for US$2.41, and a brand-new 2026/27 All-Time 100 Club Thierry Henry for US$2.01.

So a box of ordinary cards is a collection, not a stash of cash. The cards worth pulling aside are the ones in the sections below: printed at long odds, signed by the player, made of chrome, or early cards of a player who went on to become a star.

All prices in this guide are recorded sales in US dollars, as sold-price trackers report them. Sales on eBay UK are converted from pounds.

Which Match Attax cards are rare in 2026/27?

The 2026/27 UEFA Club Competitions edition, the 20th-anniversary set, launched in the UK on 10 September 2026 with a base set of around 450 cards and a new star system: one star for Rare up to five for Hyper-Rare, with Mystical above that. Topps publishes the odds of finding each type in a packet from a display box:

Match Attax 2026/27: the rarer card types and the odds of one per packet
Card typeOdds per packet
Aqua Rare parallel1 in 6
All-Time 100 Club1 in 12
Infinity1 in 24
Yellow Super-Rare parallel1 in 36
Pink Mega-Rare parallel1 in 72
Gold Ultra-Rare parallel1 in 108
Black Hyper-Rare parallel1 in 216
WHOOSH!1 in 540
Enigma1 in 2,160
Mystical Full-Art1 in 4,320

Limited Edition cards don't come from packets at all. They come in the starter packs, multipacks, tins and calendar, and some are exclusive to one product: Age of Heroes to the Booster Tins, Greatest Hits to the Mega Tins and the Festive Snow Globe cards to the Countdown Calendar. Exclusive to a product is not the same as rare, so check what one actually sells for before treating it as a prize.

What are the best 2026/27 Match Attax cards worth?

The Mystical and Enigma cards are the ones selling for real money. A Mystical Lamine Yamal sold for about US$535 on eBay UK on 16 October 2026 as an accepted best offer; a week later another went at auction for US$163.50. An Enigma Jude Bellingham sold for about US$301 in September and US$193 in October, an Enigma Mohamed Salah for US$125, and a Mystical Erling Haaland for about US$76. A Black Hyper-Rare parallel, the 1-in-216 tier, sold for about US$32.

Two lessons in those numbers. The player matters as much as the tier: both Yamal Mysticals sold for at least twice what Haaland's did. And a new season's chase cards can be at their most expensive in the first weeks, when few have been pulled, so prices can fall fast as more packets are opened. If you've pulled one, check what it is selling for now, not what it fetched in launch week.

What is the most valuable Match Attax card?

The record prices belong to Topps Chrome Match Attax, a premium chromium version of the game with one-of-one Superfractors, not to cards from a £2 packet. A 2021-22 Chrome Match Attax Luka Modrić Pro Elite Superfractor 1/1, graded PSA 8, sold for US$18,700 in June 2026. A 2020 Chrome Lionel Messi Superfractor autograph 1/1 sold for US$12,300 on Fanatics Collect in June 2025, and a 2021 Chrome Bundesliga Erling Haaland Superfractor autograph 1/1, graded PSA 10, for US$5,940 in May 2026.

Among ordinary packet cards, the top end is early cards of players who became superstars. A 2019-20 Champions League Match Attax International Haaland rookie, card SAL13, sold for US$1,708 at Goldin in September 2025. A Lionel Messi from 2006, Match Attax's first year and Topps' first Messi card, sold for about US$1,645 graded PSA 10 in September 2025, while a PSA 9 of the same card sold for US$240 at Goldin: the grade did most of that work. Genuine signed packet cards are scarce too: Topps says the signed 2024/25 Bellingham "El Maestro" had only five copies.

Are old Match Attax cards worth anything?

Single cards from the early sets mostly sell for a dollar or two, like the 2007/08 Bobby Convey above. Complete sets are a different matter, because finishing one now means tracking down hundreds of cards long after the packets disappeared.

Complete 2007/08 Premier League sets with their Limited Editions sold for about US$500 twice in 2026, and one with all 12 Limited Editions fetched about US$903 in December 2025. A set with 9 of the 12 sold for about US$187, and a complete set in its binder for about US$134. A full run of the 60 Man of the Match cards from 2007/08 made about US$160. If you have an old binder, count the Limited Editions first: the complete sets that have all of them are the ones fetching the higher prices.

Is there a Premier League Match Attax in 2025/26?

No. Match Attax was a Premier League game from its 2007/08 set to 2018/19. Panini held the Premier League's trading card licence from 2019/20, which is why Premier League cards from those seasons are Panini Adrenalyn XL. Fanatics, which owns Topps, became the Premier League's exclusive trading card partner from June 2025, but the Premier League describes Topps Premier League 2025/26 as a stand-alone product, separate from Match Attax.

Match Attax itself carries on as a UEFA Club Competitions game covering the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are still in the 2026/27 set, through their European campaigns.

How do I tell which season a Match Attax card is from?

The competition printed on the card narrows it down fastest:

  • Premier League branding: 2007/08 to 2018/19.
  • Champions League branding: 2015/16 to 2020/21, with UK editions from 2019/20.
  • Champions & Europa League: 2021/22.
  • UEFA Club Competitions (the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League together): from 2022/23.
  • 20th Anniversary branding and star rarity symbols: 2026/27.

Then match the card number against that season's checklist. The number is what separates two cards of the same player, and a parallel or special of a player can be worth many times their base card.

How do I avoid overpaying for a "rare" Match Attax card?

Treat "signed" in a listing title with suspicion. Topps autographs are their own card types, such as 2024/25's Genuine Autograph cards, and they're scarce. Cards listed simply as "signed" or "hand signed" sold for US$4 to US$5 in October 2026, a price that says buyers don't believe them.

Price against sold listings, never asking prices. Anyone can ask £500 for a Mystical; what matters is what the last few actually sold for, and for a new card that number moves weekly. For anything valuable, the fake card guide covers the checks that catch reprints, and the safe trading guide covers the common scams.

How do I check what my Match Attax card is worth?

Photograph the front of the card and CardLoft identifies it, including the season and any parallel, and values it, free. Parallels matter more than anything else in Match Attax: a Black Hyper-Rare and an ordinary card of the same player look alike at a glance and sell for very different money. Shoot the card straight-on in even light, with the colour and any star symbols in focus.
