Virat Kohli Rookie Cards: What Are They Worth?

How much are Virat Kohli cards worth?

These are recorded sales, in US dollars. There aren't many: most Kohli prices online are asking prices, and we've left those out.

Which Virat Kohli card is the rookie card?

Sellers and checklists call the 2011 Topps Cricket Attax IPL Kohli his rookie card. It's from a 200-card set of IPL players, with Kohli on the Royal Challengers Bangalore page, and it has no printed card number (checklists list it as NNO). The same set has a separate Kohli Man of the Match card, also unnumbered, which sellers list as a rookie too.

No grading company or Topps statement settles which Kohli card is the rookie, so treat the label as collector convention. Cards from 2012 onwards, including the 2012 Cricket Attax IPL and 2016 Cricket Attax IPL #109, aren't rookies.

What is the most valuable Virat Kohli card?

The highest recorded sale we found is a 2011 Topps Cricket Attax IPL Kohli graded PSA 7, which sold on eBay for US$2,363.81 in August 2025. PSA's records show no Kohli rookie graded PSA 10, so a higher-grade copy could sell for more if one turns up.

Kohli cards listed for several thousand dollars, including signed cards, are asking prices. We found no record of them selling.

How have Virat Kohli card prices changed?

There are too few sales to chart, but one copy shows the direction. The same PSA 6 2011 rookie sold on Fanatics Collect for US$105.60 in June 2022 and US$600 in August 2023, more than five times as much 14 months later. A PSA 7 then sold for US$2,363.81 in August 2025.

Later cards haven't moved the same way. A 2012 Cricket Attax IPL Kohli sold for US$12 in CSG 7.5 and US$42 in CSG 8.5 in June 2023, and a 2016 #109 sold for US$25 in PSA 5 in November 2024. Shane Warne cards show the same split in Australia: rookies and signed cards sell for hundreds, later cards for a few dollars.

Does grading matter for Virat Kohli cards?

For the 2011 rookie, yes. Cricket Attax cards were made to be played with, so few survive in high grade: the PSA 6 that Fanatics Collect sold had only four copies graded higher, and PSA's records show none at PSA 10. Grade is most of the difference between a few hundred dollars and a few thousand.

For later Attax cards, grading usually costs more than it adds: graded 2012 and 2016 Kohli cards sold for US$12 to US$42. Check the certificate number on any graded Kohli rookie with the grading company, and the slab with the fake graded slab guide.

How do I check what my Virat Kohli card is worth?

Photograph the front of the card and CardLoft identifies it, including the set and year, and values it, free. Keep the set logo and year in focus: a 2011 rookie and a 2012 Cricket Attax Kohli look alike and sell for very different money.
