Phil Foden Rookie Cards: What Are They Worth?

How much are Phil Foden cards worth?

These are recorded sales, in US dollars, from 2023 to 2026:

Which Phil Foden cards are rookie cards?

Foden's first cards came out in 2017-18, when he was 17 and breaking into the Manchester City squad, but the card the hobby treats as his rookie came a season later. The main ones:

• 2018-19 Panini Donruss Rated Rookie #179, in both the paper Donruss version and the chromium Optic version, with Press Proof and Optic parallels including Red Velocity /50, Black Velocity /25 and Optic Gold /10.
• 2017-18 Topps Match Attax Premier League Extra #U33, Foden's first officially issued card, which some guides call his true rookie.
• 2017-18 Panini WCCF Extra, a Japanese arcade-game card from the same season.
• 2019-20 Panini Prizm Premier League #159, Foden's first Prizm card, from the first Prizm Premier League set.

Which is "the" rookie? The Donruss Optic #179 has the Rated Rookie logo and the most sales, so it's the one most collectors mean. Purists point to the Match Attax #U33 because it came first. Foden's first sticker is in the 2018-19 Panini FIFA 365 album.

What is the most valuable Phil Foden card?

The highest sale we found is a 2018-19 Donruss Optic #179 Black Velocity, numbered to 25 and graded PSA 10, at US$5,000 on eBay in January 2026, as reported by Soccer Rookies. Behind it is an Optic Red Velocity /50 in PSA 10 at US$1,550 in September 2023 and an Optic Orange /99 in PSA 10 at US$485 in December 2024.

Foden's top end is lower than his Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland's: we found no Foden sale above US$5,000, and no recorded result for his one-of-one autographs.

How have Phil Foden card prices changed?

The base rookie has stayed cheap. A PSA 10 Optic #179 sold for US$16.80 to US$45 between June and October 2026, and a PSA 10 Prizm #159 for US$14.51 to US$45 in 2024 and 2025. Prizm parallels have fallen since 2022: a PSA 10 Hyper Prizm #159 sold for US$196 in May 2022 and US$108 in August 2022.

The scarce parallels are where the movement is. The US$5,000 Black Velocity sale in January 2026 is the best Foden result we found. Check what the exact card and parallel sold for recently, because two #179s can be worth US$20 and US$5,000.

What are Phil Foden Match Attax and Adrenalyn XL cards worth?

The 2017-18 Match Attax Premier League Extra #U33 is the one to look for, as Foden's first card. We found no recorded graded sale of it. A later Match Attax insert, the 2024 UEFA Madness Delirium #DE1, sold for US$56.40 in PSA 10 at Fanatics Collect in November 2025.

We found no graded sales of Foden's Adrenalyn XL cards, so most are worth a few dollars. See the Match Attax and Adrenalyn XL guides for which cards in those games are scarce.

Does grading matter for Phil Foden cards?

Not for the base rookie. A PSA 10 Donruss Optic #179 sold for US$16.80 to US$45 in 2026 and a PSA 10 paper Donruss #179 for US$14.40, so grading one usually costs more than it adds. It matters for numbered parallels, where a PSA 10 can sell for several times a lower grade.

We found no reported fakes of Foden rookie cards. For an expensive graded card, check the certificate number with the grading company and the slab with the fake graded slab guide.

How do I check what my Phil Foden card is worth?

Photograph the front of the card and CardLoft identifies it, including the set, the season and any parallel, and values it, free. Keep the card's finish and any serial number in focus: a base Optic #179 and a numbered Velocity parallel look alike at a glance and sell for very different money.
